The final rule for End-Stage Renal Disease boosts reimbursement to encourage dialysis innovation. CMS Administrator, Seema Verma, says the rule phases out “outdated government regulations that stand in the way of the care they need.”

Food access is targeted by Kaiser as an important determinant of health. Kaiser launched their program, Food for Life, which is focused on connecting vulnerable patients to nutritious meals.
The belief that a miracle could save a loved one was found to influence caregiver choices, according to the Regenstrief Institute study. Patient-provider communication at end-of-life could be improved based on this understanding.
